We’re currently looking for an Office Manager with Human resource responsibilities to join our team!

Ampyx Power is developing an Airborne Wind Energy System (AWES) that can access powerful wind at high altitude using tethered unmanned aircraft.

What are you going to do?

This vacancy is within our Human Resources & Facilities team, a group of 4 of which a HR manager, an employee HR, a Recruiter and a IT manager. We are a hard working team with a high sense of responsibility and a flexible mindset. A promise is a promise and the HR/ facilities team has the vision that we are here to support every employee in such a way that they can excel in their job and meet the milestones.

As our new Office Manager/ HR administrator you will work closely with our HR manager to make sure everything runs smoothly in the office and the HR administration is up to date and accurate.

As a member of the team, you will be:

  • Performing operational/ administrative HR tasks in the personnel, payroll, recruitment and illness administration
  • Addressing employee queries regarding office management and operational HR issues
  • Proposing updates and maintaining HR/ Office policies as necessary
  • Assisting in the on-boarding process for new hire
  • Booking plane tickets, hotels and rental cars for staff
  • Organizing office operations and procedures
  • Coordinating with IT department on all office equipment
  • Organizing office files (both digital and physical), managing filing cabinets for HR/ office related documents
  • Assisting in organizing events


What do we need from you to complement the team?

You have an education in either HR, secretary, office management or related field and/or practical experience proving a solid level with at least 3 years of experience in a related role.

Ideally you:

  • Are precise and organized
  • Are a team player;
  • Are proactive and take ownership;
  • Like to learn new skills;
  • Adhere to processes and help improving them;
  • Are flexible in picking up new tasks/ switching between different activities if needed

As you will be part of an international team, you are proficient in English (speaking and writing).

A big plus would be if you have knowledge of:

  • HR processes and payroll structure
  • Dutch labour laws
  • Microsoft office applications (Word, Excell, Powerpoint etc) and payroll software

For this position it is mandatory that you have a valid work permit for the Netherlands and are already living in the Netherlands.

At this moment (during the Covid19 period) we are used to work only 2 days a week at the office. Also this vacancy is for 6 months, with a possibility to extend.
